Project Manager in Tactile Production

Do you want to strengthen everyone's right to accessible reading? Are you a project manager with an interest in accessibility and the future of tactile reading? Now you have the chance to contribute to an important democratic mission as a Project Manager in Tactile Production.

The Swedish Agency for Accessible Media's vision (MTM) is a society where all reading is accessible. We are a national knowledge center for accessible media working to ensure that everyone has access to news, literature, and societal information based on individual conditions, regardless of reading ability or disability.

About the Job

As a project manager in the tactile area, you will drive development projects that strengthen and enhance access to tactile reading. You will lead the development of more complex content, such as music scores and various languages. You will be responsible for issues related to format development for production, storage, and consumption. The role includes initiating, planning, and implementing development projects both within the agency and as part of the Braille Board's mission while keeping up with developments in the world and establishing relevant international contacts and collaborations.

You will work strategically on issues related to tactile reading and become a central player in the continued development of our work with Braille. The work also includes testing new products, methods, and formats to ensure quality and usability.

In your daily work, you will collaborate closely with our tactile team and specialists in speech production. The position may involve travel, primarily in connection with projects, collaborations, and international contacts.

You will belong to the Media and Services unit. Currently, we have 22 colleagues in the unit. Our office is located in Malmö, with the possibility of some remote work.

About You

  • very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have knowledge or experience of

  • be able to work independently by organizing and driving your tasks forward, making well-founded priorities, and ensuring high quality in deliveries.
  • have the ability to establish and maintain professional contacts through clear communication, responsiveness, and a trust-building approach.
  • assess situations from multiple perspectives, weigh together consequences and goals, and make trade-offs that support long-term development.
  • work methodically and orderly, creating clarity in complex tasks and ensuring that processes are followed and documentation is kept accurate.
